The story that I chose from this month’s issue of Matchbook Magazine is titled “Fewer Better Things.” It’s a feature story and interview with Karla Gallardo and Shilpa Shah, creators of the fashion label Cuyana. They hope to attract worldly, trendy, and intelligent young women as readers and they make sure that these women will find their content appealing. While Matchbook primarily focuses on fashion and decor, the magazine also covers the other topics listed in the mission statement. I think that the magazine strives to and succeeds in carrying out this specific mission statement.
